Ancient Egyptian utensils were very simple. The wealthy used bronze and silver bowls, plates and utensils, while the commoners used ones made from clay and wood. When they ate, they used the tips of their fingers and washed them in a little bowl of water. They cooked with open fires and clay ovens.
